Overview

For restaurants, cafes, food courts, airports, campuses and other managed dining environments, the first layer is the digital ordering experience: menu images, descriptions, customization choices and order confirmation. Menu content, prices, availability and allergen information must come from the operator-controlled source rather than being invented by the assistant.

The live page also discusses UPI, cards, wallets, kitchen handoff, QR continuation and robotic table or collection-point delivery. Those functions are integration choices, not automatic capabilities of every RIFE kiosk or robot. The project must define the POS/payment gateway, kitchen workflow, pickup point, robot loading ownership, destination rules and failed-handoff process.

The physical delivery layer is best treated as a separate RIFE robot mission. A selected indoor robot can carry prepared items between approved pickup and drop-off points after payload, tray/compartment design, route, hygiene procedure and human exception ownership are validated.

Frequently asked questions

Does every self-ordering deployment include payment?

No. The current RIFE page discusses UPI, card and wallet options, but payment depends on the selected provider, merchant setup, hardware and security scope.

Does the same robot prepare the food?

Not by default. The live page mentions robotic kitchen automation as a possible setup, but food preparation is a separate system and is not inferred from the RIFE kiosk or delivery robot.

Can a RIFE robot deliver to tables or collection points?

Potentially, after the selected robot, payload format, route, loading procedure and handoff method are validated for the restaurant.

Where does menu and allergen information come from?

It should come from the restaurant-controlled menu or commerce source. The assistant should not invent availability, ingredients or allergen statements.

What happens when an order cannot be completed?

The production design should send payment failures, unavailable items, dietary exceptions and delivery problems to a clear staff-owned recovery workflow.
